On February
2. the Dutch students arrived at the train station and the week began.
We did a tour around the center of Prague and
had a ton of free time to show them stuff we didn´t have time to see with the
class. Out of the week we spent two days in school. First we did presentations
with our Exchange student comparing things here in Czechia and in the
Netherlands. The second day in school, we had fun lessons like art, cooking, pottery
and P.E. On Thursday everyone had diner together and on Friday they took the
train back to the Netherlands.
Even though
I had fun i was really tired after because the whole week you need to plan what
you can do when you have free time and over all you are responsible for the
Exchange student. By the end of March we were flying to spend a week there.
Their program was much more about free time and i would say it wasn´t as
organized as ours was but i still liked it. We went to the beach and visited
Amsterdam. We were staying in a town named Leiden and it was really nice, the
houses were so different from the ones in Prague. After a week we flew back,
the whole experience was great, I even got to know some of the Czech students
from other classes that I didn´t talk to before. The difficult part is communication,
learning English in school is very different from talking in English with
someone who can´t understand Czech, so I’m glad I could try it out
